Promotions at Aberdein Considine
The north-east law firm Aberdein Considine has announced promotions in its legal and property divisions.
Due to an increase in the amount of litigation work, Rob Aberdein has been promoted to partner and Ryan McKay to associate in the firm’s Aberdeen office. Laura Considine, based in the Perth and Crieff offices, has also been promoted to partner in the firm’s property business, while another new partner Richard Street is now in charge of the firm’s Culter and Torry offices.
The final promotion is for Gary Ross, who as an associate now heads up the Ellon and Peterhead offices.
Managing partner, Harvey Aberdein, said: “These well deserved promotions reflect the diversity of the firm. It is fair to say that the property changes were necessitated by the downturn in the housing market and the need to have the right professionals in place to see the offices in question through these difficult times. On the other hand, our litigation department now employs over 50 solicitors and paralegals and the time was right to strengthen the management of this team.”
