Law firm strengthens real estate team

Law firm, HBJ Gateley Wareing has appointed two real estate specialists to its Edinburgh office.

The arrival of senior associate Alastair Cowan, who is dual qualified, and associate Simon Dawes from Dickson Minto means the firm now boasts one of the biggest English property legal teams in Scotland.

The pair have extensive experience of the market, in particular investment purchases, asset management and security work and bring a considerable client offering with them.

Miles Ede, Head of Real Estate in Scotland at HBJ Gateley Wareing said: “Regardless of the difficult marketplace for real estate there is never a bad time to acquire quality people with first class client followings, and Alastair and Simon fit the bill perfectly.”

The appointments take HBJ Gateley Wareing’s real estate team in Scotland to 28 in total.
