Tayside SPC has new chairman
Hugh McKay has been elected chairman of the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre (TSPC) in succession to Ross Paton.
Mr McKay is managing partner with Dundee firm Lawson Coull and Duncan, where he has worked since joining as a trainee in 1982. He has been a board member of TSPC since 1995.
He said: "I am delighted to have been elected chairman of the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre in a year in which we will commemorate various important anniversaries. It is now 40 years since the Centre – then known as the Dundee Property Register – opened its first premises in Dundee's Seagate.
"It is also 25 years since the publication of the first edition of Tayside Solicitors Property Guide, and landmark edition number 1,250 is due to be published later this year. The Centre has many achievements, of which we can be rightly proud, but it would be wrong to dwell too much on the past.
"The TSPC has remained at the forefront of estate agency in this area by continually adapting to change and ensuring that it enables its members to offer a complete property service – and it will continue to do so."
