BTO hires clinical defence partner
Scottish law firm bto has appointed Duncan Mawby as a partner in its Edinburgh office.
Mr Mawby, formerly a senior associate at Dundas & Wilson, joins as a member of bto’s clinical defence team, working with Laura Donald, Douglas Jessiman and their colleagues.
His previous experience includes representing doctors and dentists in relation to clinical negligence claims, fitness to practise proceedings before the General Medical Council and the General Dental Council, in criminal proceedings and at fatal accident inquiries. He also has considerable experience of health and safety prosecutions.

Duncan’s skills complement those of our versatile team which covers regulatory issues, criminal investigations, clinical negligence claims, disciplinary and employment law issues and fatal accident inquiries.”
