SYLA/WS Society hold writing competition
"Social media: can the law catch up" is the title of a new writing competition organised by the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association, in conjunction with the WS Society.
SYLA members (students, trainees and those up to 10 years qualified can join) are eligible to enter.
Entries, which should be 650 words long, are invited by 31 March 2013, with the winner being published in the WS Society’s summer edition of the Signet Magazine in 2013. The winner will also be given a year’s free affiliate (or equivalent) membership of the WS Society, together with a £100 Amazon voucher.
Affiliate membership of the WS society entitles the holder to access and use of the Signet Library, regular professional update e-bulletins, discounted rates for the Society’s CPD and educational programmes, and invitations to Society social events.
A shortlist of five articles will be selected by the SYLA committee before the final winner is chosen by the chief executive and senior office bearer of the WS Society, both senior practising solicitors.
Entries should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
