More associate moves in Edinburgh
Shoosmiths and Lindsays have both announced new hires at associate or senior associate level for their Edinburgh offices.
Sheelagh Cooley has joined Shoosmiths from Anderson Strathern, where she was a senior associate in the real estate team specialising in property finance, having acted for many financial institutions. She has particular interests in healthcare funding, including dentistry and care homes, and pension scheme lending.
Her appointment follows that of real estate associate John Dunlop and conveyancing partner Steven McDonald, who recently joined Shoosmiths.
Private client associate Claire Christie also joined the firm's Edinburgh family law team this month, having previously been at Turcan Connell.
Lindsays has also strengthened its family law team in the capital, with the appointment of Lucy Mackie as an associate. She joins from Morisons.
A collaboratively trained child and family lawyer, she also has experience dealing with cases regarding adults with incapacity and representing clients at mental health tribunals. She is actively involved with Kids in the Middle, a national campaign giving a voice to children coping with their family separating, and is a member of the Family Law Association, Consensus Collaboration Scotland, and a committee member of the Edinburgh Bar Association.
