Irwin Mitchell reports continued growth in 2018-19
National firm Irwin Mitchell has reported a ninth successive year of revenue growth, along with an upturn in profits, in its results for the 2018-19 financial year.
The Sheffield-headquartered firm, which has a Scottish base in Glasgow, achieved a 9% increase in turnover firm said this week that turnover for the 2018/19 financial year was up 9% from £242m to £263m, while profit jumped by 76% from £12m to £21m.
The firm said it has also been independently recognised as a "superbrand" – a leading brand in its sector – for the first time this year.
Group chief executive Andrew Tucker commented: "We have successfully grown turnover for nine consecutive years, and that is testament to the hard work and determination of all of our teams to deliver an excellent client service, whether that is for businesses or individuals."
He added that the firm was investing in its people by adopting flexible working patterns, which more than 400 of its staff had taken up, and giving its line managers specialist mental health training.
Previously regarded as a personal injury specialist, the firm is currently the third most active litigation firm in UK courts but also ranked as one of the most active deal-making firms by Experian.
