Semple Fraser sets up Edinburgh comm prop team

Firm looking for more hires to meet growing demand

Semple Fraser has announced the establishment of a new commercial property team in Edinburgh headed up by Elspeth Carson.

The new team is being formed in the multinational law firm's George Street office to meet growing client demand and to help capitalise on growth opportunities across the UK.

Carson is joined at partner level by Ewan Thomson, currently based in the firm’s Glasgow office. A new hire at senior associate level is Gillian Irons, currently with Brodies.

Gillian Irons' appointment is the start of a focused recruitment drive which will see a number of commercial property lawyers at various experience levels joining the new team. This is set to include further English-qualified commercial property talent.

Managing partner Alister Fraser said: "We are going from strength to strength and are seeking to recruit more commercially savvy individuals who are passionate about their career to keep up with the growing volume of superb quality work that we deal with.”
